Rushden Church & Bede House Wedding

I recently photographed the wedding of Gareth & Charlotte at Rushden Church followed by the reception at Bede Hall in Higham Ferrers. Despite a pretty nasty weather forecast, the rain held off all day and it was a fantastic wedding.  Charlotte completely bought into my style of wedding photography and invited me in to the lives of their families for the day and it was a privilege to spend it photographing their wedding.

The wedding ceremony was in Rushden church, a large imposing looking building in the centre of the town. I always like town centre churches as you get to see all the passers by stopping for a quick glimpse of the bride. A good wedding never fails to captures peoples attention and imaginations.

The reception was held in neighbouring Higham Ferrers at Bede house. A beautiful old church building next to the main church which lent itself to a great atmosphere and beautiful light for photography. Despite some recent hardship in both families they had a fantastic day. Amazing people and a beautiful wedding.  It was lovely to get this message from her after receiving the images:

“Good Morning Matt

The photos came yesterday and we absolutely love them. I was so excited and have already looked at them a gazillion times.

Thank you so much for all your hard work. You have done a fantastic job. I’m so glad that we picked you to take photos of our special day. When we looked through them we were saying ‘that’s when this happened’ etc which we wouldn’t have had from a ‘stand and pose’ photographer. They are amazing.

Thank you again

Charlotte”

I created a gallery of the images below, I hope you like them, its a very small selection from the day. Please feel free to comment on them as you wish.

Matt
